Clutches are perfect for carrying a small load of neccessites like a wallet, makeup, money, a cell phone and anything you need for a bonfire at the beach, or a night at the club. They are light weight and very chic so you can be light and free to move around without worrying about a bag. The first outfit is made for a night out with the girls, featuring a nude clutch. The second outfit is perfect for a barbeque or a day at the beach with a bright orange and turquoise clutch. Blake Lively Inspired

Blake Lively is not only one of the main characters in the hit TV show Gossip Girls, she is also known around the world as a gorgeous trendsetter! Blake also has flawless style and outfits, so I decided to try and make my own version of one of my favorite Blake outfits! I opted to use gold pants instead of the glitter-filled blue ones Blake has on in the picture. Another difference between the two outfit is I accessorized for a more dramatic look while Blake didn't use much accessories for a more plain and simple but very chic outfit!

Summer Looks.... For "Not So Summer" Weather!

Although summer is approaching, Long Island is experiencing a little bit of cold weather! Just packed out all your summer clothes? Don't put away yet... because there are ways to incorporate your clothing to make a summer look and still be weather appropriate at the same time! If you have a really cute tank top, pair it with a blazer or jean jacket too be warm but still keep the look. In my outfit I incorporated a navy tank top and a cute summer-ish scarf with a white blazer, jeans and a cute clutch! If it were summer, you could wear just the tank and scarf with maybe a pair of shorts, but since it's colder, all you have to do is think of a few alternatives, that way you can still wear your summer attire and be warm!

Summer Essential: Maxi Dresses!

I think maxi dresses are perfect to keep cool and fashionable on a summer day or even a night! They are perfect for accessorizing and they are flatting for almost every body type! For my outfit I chose a simple grey tank top maxi dress and paired it with a baby blue belt. To match the belt, I added blue and gold bangles and a gold feather ring and sandals. This cute looks is not only comfortable, but also very chic!

Shift Dresses!

The Shift dress has become in essential in everyone's wardrobe! Although they're not as form fitting as everyone's little black dress, the shift dress can also be very sexy. The plain shape and usually neutral color makes for more accessorizing to use your imagination and create your very own look! For my take on shift dresses I paired a cream colored dress with a multicolored chain necklace, gold watch and orange colored accessories! The accessories really makes the outfit look fun and this outfit would be perfect for having a barbeque during the summer or many other events!!

Tribal Patterns

A big trend I've noticed this summer is bold, tribal patterns. I think if done in moderation, it could be a really cute look! The way to perfect the bold trend is to wear one peice including a tribal pattern and keep the rest of the look modest and simple! I created my own take on the look with a belted navy tribal patterned pair of shorts paired with a plain tank and neutral acessories. As for makeup, I think a very light and sub-dued smokey eye matched with navy nail polish would complete this look. The bold trend is perfect for summer and I suggest everything giving this look a try!!

Nautical Stripes for Summer!!!

A big trend for summer is signature nautical stripes. Whether you're going out for a day on the boat, lounging around with some friends or at a barbeque, nautical stripes add a summery feel to any look. I created my own take on the look in these 3 outfits. In the first outfit, I matched a nautical striped shirt with denim cut-offs, a straw hat, navy blue bag, sunglasses and a color blocked bangle. This look is perfect for a barbeque or a day at the beach.

My 2nd outfit features a nautical maxi dress with blue and navy acessories. This outfit will keep you cool and comfortable no matter what you're doing!

The 3rd and final outfit I put together was a silk tank top and cute denim shorts with nautical acessories, such as the scarf and bag. This is a toned-down outfit with the nautical stripes, but you still get the same chic feel

Chic Sheer

Sheer is a fabric made from thin threads and low density of knit. This fabric is very transparent and also very stylish! What makes sheer perfect for spring and summer is that it is so light & cool! I made two outfits using sheer garments to show how I would incorporate sheer into my own style.

The first outfit features a blue sheer top with long sleeves. This look is mainly for cooler weather in the Spring, compared to the second outfit's warm-weather, summer look. The blue sheer top is paired  nicely with white denim jeans & stylish wedges. The gold-tone watch makes the look more sophisticated, while the bag keeps it fresh and fun! As for the second outfit, the baby pink cropped sheer top is paired with high waisted denim shorts and nude sandals. This look is more laid back and polished...but both looks are good to try when you're shopping next!!

Fashionably Floral

Although I don't really like floral patterns, they are very popular this summer so I decided to create an outfit that incorporated a floral pattern with my own twist to it! The floral crop top is paired with plain denim cut-offs and colored shoes with a couple colored bangles. I went very simple and light on the acessories because I felt like the floral was suppossed to stick out and capture the attention. The gold watch brings the outfit together and makes it a little more sophisticated.

Classy in Gold

The perfect look for going out and being seen is gold! Gold is flashy and chic and you can always make a statement! This is an outfit I created and fell in love with! I paired a white top with gold detailing with dark jeans and all gold acessories. This look is comfy, classy and also very stylish! If you don't like that much gold, you can acessorize with other colors such as black and white to tone the outfit down.

Pop Of Color!

If you ever want to spice up an outfit and really make a statement while going out, the perfect idea would be to add a pop of color using accessories and shoes. You can take a really cute outfit to an even higher level and look amazing! For this outfit, I chose an electric blue shoe and clutch to make this cute outfit even better. You can chose other colors like orange, yellow, pink or any other bright color. Next time you decide to go out, ditch the plain black shoes for a brighter and more exciting alternative!

Rose Gold

A new trend this year is rose gold. You can find that most jewelry can now be found in this color. I happen to love this trend because pink is one of my favorite colors, but also because I feel like it is sophisticated and pretty but also girly and fun! Rose gold jewelry can be worn anywhere, from going out or to work. Designers like Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs and Burberry have all incorporated rose gold to their collections this year. So if you haven’t already, shop around and see if a rose golden accessory is for you!

Tory Burch

Tory Burch is an American fashion designer, business woman, mother and so much more. Her brand is world famous and a huge success. Her fashions are displayed in the reality show Gossip Girl and are sold in almost every department store in the United States. Her preppy-boho style is very successful now, but she didn’t start out at the top. In the beginning, she worked for Harper’s Bazaar magazine, then went on to write for Polo Ralph Lauren and even work for Vera Wang. Her debuted her fashion label in 2004, and was made famous by Oprah Winfrey. Tory Burch inspires me to strive for what I want. If she can start small and became a major fashion icon than anyone can if they want it enough.

Coral For Spring!

This spring is all about bright colors! My go-to color for this season is coral. It goes well with almost everything and adds a pop of fun to a classic outfit like this one. The simple but cute top is paired with navy jeans and coral pumps. The cream, navy and coral bangle ties the whole outfit and all the colors together perfectly. To go with this outfit, I would pair it with a coral nail color and a light pink or nude lip color.

Radiant Red

A big trend for this year in colored denim. I found these jeans and loved them, so I decided to include them into one of my outfits. The creme, red and gold colors really compliment each other and I thought this outfit could be really cute for every day wear or even for a day of work. My favorite part of this outfit is the wrap around leather watch.

Pretty In Pink!

In honor of spring, I decided to create an outfit that I thought would be perfect for a spring day. The colors mixed with classic white jeans give it a very refreshing and energetic vibe. What I love about this outfit is how the orange and fushia colors go together so well. The top is gorgeous and also very inexpensive for the fashionista on a budget!
